The Price of Beauty…

Felicia Hodges , a publisher and Karate enthusiast was offered implants after her mastectomy, but learned there are other options.

In a recent New York Times article, Felicia Hodges talks about how she, while visiting a web-site chat room in breastcancer.org, realized that there are more options to breast cancer reconstruction than just implants.

Most patients feel that reconstruction surgery following mastectomy is the first step to reclaiming their bodies after a diagnosis of Cancer.

Some women do not choose to reconstruct, but given the ability to be informed about the many options of Breast Reconstruction, may give them options that they may not know even existed….
