Amanda’s 1st Fight Against Cancer
Amanda’s 1st Fight Against Cancer
September 27, 2008 was the night that 20 year old Amanda Martello, daughter of cancer survivor, Stacy Martello made her first debut as a Muay Thai boxer.
The night was billed as the TUFF GRLZ FIGHT NIGHT at Master Toddy’s Muai Thai Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada and was schedualed to be first all female show in the Rising Star Series.
Each fighter had their own reasons for taking part, but one particular one stood out from the rest…
Amanda stepped into the ring with more just winning on her mind. She’s a female fighter with a cause.
Her goal? To Raise Funds and Awareness to Save Lives and End Breast Cancer Forever!
How Did Amanda Do On the Night?
Great, she didn’t win her first fight, but won a more significant one by raising awareness to breast cancer.
You can join Amanda, her mother Stacy and the rest of the Fight Pink™ family by registering for their “Fight Pink™ Report.” Inside, you’ll find a wealth of information pertaining to “early detection, healthy living tips, featured articles from experts in the field of Cancer Research and Development, plus much more.
When asked why she wanted to create the non-profit organization Fight Pink™, Amanda replied, “My mother is a cancer survivor. We started a cancer awareness campaign to help others. Early detection is paramount and campaigns such as Fight Pink™ are essential.”
I’m a Muay Thai fighter, but every time I step into the ring, I’ll be fighting for the cause.”
