Eric,

You are an inspiration to many men for sure. I value your words...they are thoughts graced with words, and we can all feel how you are feeling. Thank you for sharing such amazing thoughts. I am sure you are a big help to many co-survivors!

Stacy,

Thanks for posting excerpts from my blog. It really is surreal to look back at these postings from 5 months ago. As I mentioned, my blog was a place for me to get emotional (and let my soul cry out) so that I could remain calm for my wife.

A lot of people have written me and asked me questions about what we have been through and why I wrote my feelings about this disease. I've had many thoughts about what I hope this blog does. In the end again, it was a place for me to express myself, but I do hope that any male reader out there will read it and be able to relate to our story and maybe take away a few tidbits of knowledge. I know it has spurred me to do a few things locally to help men deal better with emotional caregiving for their spouses.

On the flip side for the women, especially those who wonder if their husbands are okay or if they seem distant, maybe (I don't want to generalize) they can just get a little insight into what their husband might be thinking since us men sometimes (okay, very often) have trouble expressing ourselves and showing our much more tender side.
