Kim and Stephanie’s Video of Living With the BRCA1 Gene

Submitted by Fight Pink Team on Thursday, 13 November 2008One Comment

Close your eyes for a moment and try to imagine this. You’re an adopted child from birth, you’ve never met your biological parents and now, at the age of 36 you’ve been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

This is the story of Kim and Stephanie, two wonderfully brave women from Seattle, USA.

They have been kind enough to allow us to showcase their video, where they talk openly about their experiences of discovering and living with the BRCA1 breast cancer gene.

Testing for this gene has been available for as little as over 10 years, but both Kim and Stephanie (twins) share some excellent feedback for you to listen and take action on.

Click the image above for their video and please leave your comments on their story in the comment box below the video.

Thank you.

Thank you for posting this video. Even though short, I found it to be concise in its delivery, and full of useful little nuggets I can share with a dear friend of mine.

I came across your blog in Google and I’m definitely bookmarking it as a ‘go to’ breast cancer resource website.

Do you plan on keeping this blog updated with regular breast cancer information?

    Thank you.
